Charcot shoulder...

Postby tennesseewalker » Sat Oct 11, 2014 6:21 pm

I've been diagnosed with Charcot shoulder due to SM. X-Ray shows the ball of my humerus bone that sits inside the rotator cuff is completely gone. Like someone just sawed it off. SM is one of the most common causes.

Anyone else heard of this?
Genetic CM/SM (me, my son, my twin sister and both of her daughters), RSD of right arm.

I just talked to someone from TN last week who was dx with charcot joint. Her doctor told her surgery would fail because she did not have muscle strength to support the shoulder. I mailed her several article. I will upload them into the articles page under resources.
