Good news!

Postby Andrea » Wed Sep 26, 2012 8:24 am

On friday I recieved some amazing news from my latest MRI. Went to the ns and he did his standard tests. How you feeling ect and said that my MRI looked really good. I of course assumed that it was unchanged from previous ones (I have been having more symptoms) but no it really is better. Dramatically so! Had a syrinx of c2-t12 with a max width of 1.4cm and now it's basically gone. Just a sliver left!!! (the radiologist didn't measure the remaining sm which is annoying). The ns showed me the MRI and I truly can't believe how massive the sm was. He explained that my increased symptoms might be from my nerves waking up after being under so much pressure for so long. Honestly I'll take it. The shunt (after 3 years) is doing it ls job. I have 2 healthy boys and a healthy mama. Great day for sure. I just wanted to share. Not too often is there great news (although I'm sure there are success stories we just don't hear about them too often). Thanks for reading!
