Stem cell treatment of spinal injury

Postby reedy » Fri Oct 24, 2014 7:08 pm

I'm sure many of you are keenly interested in the news about the ground-breaking treatment of spinal cord injury with transplants from olfactory cells. One doctor called it 'bigger news than man walking on the moon'. ... ng-surgery

This is an interesting summary from a biologist: ... more-21190

Note that someone in the comments says they are looking for 10 more volunteers - particularly people with severed spinal cords from things like knife injuries, so not for the likes of us SM folks. But give it some time. Maybe the next generation will see more treatment options for our disease.
