Cognitive problems

Postby TabulaRasa » Wed Sep 17, 2014 7:45 am

Lately I've noticed that I'm having a harder time forming a coherent sentence, recalling memories, and my thought process drops off extremely suddenly at least 10-15 times a day. This wouldn't be that much of an issue if I wasn't a doctorate student. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried things like Ritalin or Adderall to help alleviate some of the cognitive problems.

Sorry I don't have any answers for you, but I do send my sympathy and empathy. I'm an academic, more or less, and am also alarmed at how easily I slip in to being a lot less capable in the thinkin' department than I used to be. I still CAN do it, but its harder work, and I far too readily lapse in to doing trivial things. Caffiene helps me. I'll be interested if you find Ritalin helps. Keep us updated.
