Hi AmyJoe, I hope your move is great for you!
As someone who has been on both sides of the fence, I think you are wise to give the short notice. There are times where only a short notice will suffice. I was in one of those situations in 1993. I did give 2 weeks notice ( against my better judgement) after 1-week I was let go with pay for the other week.
As someone with 25 employees, If someone decides to leave (especially in a retail environment) sometimes it is better to go ahead and let them leave.
If AmyJoe had to stay with this boss for the next 2-weeks it would be pure h---!
