November 9th I am having three cadaver transplants done.

An Osteotomy (sp) where they cut your leg almost off to straighten it.
Cadaver knee replacement. They say I am too young (35) for a traditional knee replacement so they are doing a cadaver replacement
Cadaver Plug to the distal Femur which is the base and weight bearing part of your femur where it attaches to the knee.

Usually they do not do all three together at once but they figured it worked once as I have already done my right leg. It took about a year to recover but it does seem to be better now 16 or so months latter...

Wishing you all wealth and pain free days (even hours!)
Wether you think you can or you think you can't you're right.

Have SM C6-C7
Recovering right now from:
Right leg high tibial osteotomy with osteochondral plug allograft to medial femoral condyle.

well, i saw my NS yesterday after having a discogram done, he now believes my syrinx is from a disc problem. i have one disc that is "in his words totally shot" and another that has slight herniation and a tear. he feels the first disc caused my syrinx and i am to have discectomy with fusion of the disc that is shot and repair of the herniated disc with injection of a new type of sealant that his hospital is using. he said it is all safe and that it is an off label use for what the sealant is used for in other surgeries. at this point i don't care. i just want the pain to go away and will try anything. the surgery is to be scheduled asap, hopefully this friday or next week.
