What is the room rate?

$109 plus 10.25% room tax. Reservations for the event will be made by individual attendees directly with Marriott reservations at 1- 800-266-9432. Let them know you are attending ASAP's Chiari & Syringomyelia Conference to receive this rate. If you are planning to extend your stay the rate is available three days before and three days after the conference. If you have any problems, please let us know. What is the last day to reserve a room?

Rooms must be reserved on or before June 20, 2012 to receive the discounted rate.

Do I have to stay at the conference hotel?

Staying at the Key Bridge Marriott offers the convenience of being near the conference proceedings and benefits the organization. You will also have the opportunity to spend social time with other attendees. A list of other area hotels can be found here.

What is the registration fee for attending the conference?

Adults 16 & up: $160 each
Children ages 6 - 15: $85
Family pack: two adults and two children: $450

The fees include: all lectures and workshops, Wednesday night refreshments, continental breakfast Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Saturday evening banquet meal.

Can I come for only one day?

Yes. If you are not able to attend the entire conference, you can pay by the day.

The day rate for Thursday or Friday is $60.
The Saturday day rate, which includes the banquet dinner, is $90.

Can my family/friends who are not attending the conference come to the Saturday night banquet?

Yes. You can purchase a ‘banquet only’ ticket for $65.

When is the last day to register?

You can register online, by phone, or through the mail until June 27, 2011. After that date, you may still register on site but the cost per person is higher: $185.

Can I get a refund if something happens and I can't attend?

Yes. Refunds will be given until June 27, minus a $25 handling fee.

Can children attend the conference?

Absolutely, we encourage you to think of the conference as a family affair. We have special sessions for children and teens with Chiari, syringomyelia or related disorders as well as siblings and children whose parents are affected. When one member of the family is diagnosed, it affects everyone! The conference allows patients, family and friends to interact and share with others who understand their unique perspectives.
