On good days, my pain ranges from 5-7. On other days, it ranges from 8-10+.

Take care,

It varies with me from day to day . Depends on the amount of activity etc etc . Today with meds 3-4 . Tomorrow may be a different story .
I choose not to place "DIS" in my ability.

5-6 pretty constant for me. Without meds I would say about an 8.

5-6 is a constant for me. If I do any type of activity it easily reaches a 9 or 10.

ETA: since others are mentioning their pain level on/off their meds, I guess I will add that I am med free.

Hi Heide,

We're in the same boat. My level on a daily basis begins with how bad the pain is when I wake up. Each day I start out by using an icepack, of course a cup of coffee, and my meds.

Today was pretty bad and I had to increase my meds in order to bring the 10 down to an 8. Yesterday I started out at 10 and by this time was down to a 7. I'm thinking of going back to bed and start over.

I'm so tired of dealing with pain each and every day. It's sad to admit that you're use to being in pain and no one understands when you say that. Like it's impossible. Well, it's possible in order to make it through each day and try to live a normal (new norm) life.

Take care and I pray for each of us to have some level of comfort each day.
GOD Bless!
Janice

I'm posting for my dh. For several weeks his pain level was about an 8. However, the last few days it seems he's down to about a 5-6 -- AND he hasn't had to take his Midrin for nearly 3 weeks. Yeah!!

Hi Heide,

Hope you are feeling better.

I slept in this morning because I just couldn't stay up after dh left for work at 6. Normally I feel ok because I'm sitting against the ice. This morning I barely kept my eyes open for the hour. Once he left I guess I just dozed off for about 3 1/2 hours. I'm feeling a little better now.

Years ago I got injections in my neck and shoulder. They never really helped and I ended up having therapy for 3 years but nothing helped until I changed jobs. No one ever mentioned if I had SM at that time and I didn't get copies of my reports at that time. I learned better since then.

In my daily med routine, I have only found one med I was allergic too. Thank GOD.

I know what you mean about the shakes/tremors. I can never get use to them and they really hurt my limbs.

Take care and again, I hope you're feeling better.
GOD Bless!
Janice

I am always at a 2-3 when I wake up.

Then, it just depends on the day and the amount of activity. The less sleep I get, the more pain I will be in.

And sometimes, my body just gets mad. For instance, right now, I am flaring up under my right shoulder blade. Burning, and my neck hurts. It's ramping up to a 4-5, and my feet are asleep. I don't even count that as pain, it just is. Annoying. And the pressure in my head is changing. Like I have stood up too fast, but I am sitting down and have been.

If I get a headache, forget it. It just goes right up to an 8-9. I count 10 as death. :)

my pain level would be much higher if I wasn't taking narcotic pain meds every day.
