Post-Op head coverings

Postby ket85rn » Mon Apr 14, 2008 8:23 pm

Just a note for those having surgery and concerned about how they might cover their surgical sites, funny hair cuts,... post op.

I order from a site called SparklingEarth.com for surgical caps to wear in the OR. They have a huge selection of skull caps in all colors and designs, some very pretty. (They also have masculine designs, didn't mean to leave out the guys! :) ) I found them to be perfect for going out post-op. The little flap in the back lays right down over the incision and you can secure the ties loosely so as not to hurt. I had my surgery last May and liked to have something to protect my head from the sun that looked nice, too.

Have a great day!
