Button Hook?

Postby weevab » Wed Oct 10, 2012 5:13 am

I've lately been having a lot of trouble with buttons and had a bit of a revelation when I saw a character on a TV show use a device to help button his shirt. A bit of googling later and I "discovered" button hooks.
So, before I buy, has anyone used one? Are they suitable for SM symptoms?

Occupational therapist specialize in helping people to find ways to make life easier. I do not have personal experience with button hooks but I have heard that others have found them helpful. A shoe horn with a long handle can help with putting on shoes. Using a piece of rubber/sponge tubing that fits over a tooth brush handle and fork can make it easier to grip. You might talk to your doctor about having a therapist evaluate your home and needs. Hopefully others will share items they have found useful.

best wishes,

Patricia
