fusion broken

Postby nandkmom » Tue Jan 15, 2013 11:19 pm

Seems like most are on facebook now. I am trying to gather information for my adult daughter (24) who was fused at age 17 from skull to C4 for instability. Her rods on both sides are now broken (snapped like a paper clip bending back and forth for too long according to her current NS). She only has severe neck pain in her lower neck and shoulders with no classic instability symptoms. Anyone else dealt with this? Her hardware is broken and not functioning and they are thinking of taking it out?
