Hi,
this is Courtney
My surgery is still set for the 24th at 8am. My Dr will be out of town this week for a last min Family problem. I was in the Hospital all weekend but am out now. i just have to take it extra EXTRA carful till then. Spending 3 + days in the hospital was not the greatest. though on a nice note. the hospital i was in had acctually great food :) as far as the normal diet went.
But I am posting just to say its still the 24th.
Have a wonderful day! you deserve it!

I am sceduled for Dec 26th for discectomy and C6C7 fusion.
couldn't figure out how to do this differently.
I am 2 weeks and 3 days post surgery and starting to see pain level reduced significantly in my arms. I have better mobility in my neck than I did a week ago. Muscles are still tight and learning. I am also learning what my limits are and have found I tire easily but I am gettingto the point I can do some house stuff. sleeping is still an issue, just as it ever has been and will be. I am fairly satisfied so far but I am not comfortable enough with everything to drive just yet. I have a few questions to ask the doc on Wednesday the 14th. I want to try my TENS on the muscle in the middle of my shoulder blades and my trapezius muscles but I fear this may not be a good idea before seeing the doc. It appears that I was in much worse shape before surgery than I imagined. I am still having numbness to an extent in my left arm and hand and still some burning sensations up and down my arms. I have a much better outlook now than before and I think it may all be worth it in the end. I want to make further progress but I am pleased with the pain going away. Muscle spasms still but not as frequent or severe or for as long. so....... better.
Take care. tell you what the doc says.
